Chocolate Eyeshadow: A Too Faced palette review

Hey there everyone, today I have something really special to share with you all. Thanks to my fathers wonderful Christmas gift, I was able to purchase something that I've had my eye on since it was announced: the Too Face Christmas in New York box set! I drooled over this for weeks before finally deciding to take the plunge and purchase it for myself. I normally don't like to buy things off of Amazon if they're from a particular brand, or lets just be honest here, I don't like to buy Makeup on Amazon. Unfortunately, Too Faced isn't available in my area and I have no other way to get it. So, I took the plunge despite the price mark up.

This palette comes with 18 shadows, a blush, highlight, bronzer, and 3 deluxe samples. One Shadow Insurance primer, one Melted lipstick in the shade "Chocolate Milkshake" and a Better Than Sex Mascara. Not to mention how adorable the packaging is:

I fell in love with this palette as soon as I opened the box.

As soon as you open the palette itself you'll be hit in the face with the delicious scent of cocoa powder, and I mean HIT. This palette seems to smell a lot stronger than all of my Chocolate Bar palettes, and the Sweet Peach palette as well. But I love it! It smells like pure sugar and cocoa. Yum!

I think this palette is an exceptional deal for the price. an 18 shadow palette with a good mix of cool and warm matte and shimmer shades, plus a highlighter, blush and bronzer for $50.00? {I hope that's how you write the American money system, ít's been so long I can't remember!} Granted I paid 67,90€ because of the Euro to Dollar exchange rate and price mark-up, I still can't complain.

The Better Than Sex mascara is 34,90€ on Amazon, although this is just a deluxe size, it's still a high value item! The lipstick goes for $21,00 on the Too Faced website and around 30,00€ on Amazon. The primer costs $20,00 on the website and 38,00€ on Amazon. {I seriously hope they start shipping to Germany soon!}.

I also genuinely enjoy the bronzer, highlight and blush shades inside the palette, The highlighter, called Inner Light, is a subtle highlight with a touch of gold shimmer. It sits well on the skin and doesn't bring out any unwanted texture in the skin.

The bronzer is the normal Chocolate Soleil bronzer, which is a surprisingly good color for me. It matches well and doesn't look too orange or muddy on my skin. I will probably be picking up a full size of the bronzer when the palette version is empty.

The blush appeared to be a bit too pink when I first looked at it, but when you apply it with a light hand and don't go too crazy scrubbing your brush into it, it gives you a nice arm pop of color to your cheeks without being overwhelming. This is in the shade Chocolate Covered Strawberry.

The lipstick is a nice color although it doesn't dry down too well, it tastes and smells amazing. I put the other Melted lipsticks on my wishlist after trying this one. The shade is Chocolate Milkshake.

The shadows in this palette are just as amazing as all the other Too Faced palettes that I own. Which is surprising for a holiday gift set, which we know can sometimes lack quality. The mattes are creamy and blendable with no fall-out and the pigmentation is out of this world. {Check out my Instagram to see some awesome looks I created with this palette!} And the shimmer shades are also amazingly pigmented and didn't give me much if any fall-out. I love this palette, can you tell?
