Big News From Essence: Part 2

Hi again everyone, this is the second post in my series detailing the huge brand update coming up from Essence in February. My last post gave you all the details about the new face products, so if you want to check that out click the 'previous post button' on the bottom of the page. Let#s get going in to the Lip category!

Shine Shine Shine lipgloss: there is an incredible amount of these coming out, and I think the range is wonderful. However, I hate lipgloss! If these aren't sticky, I'll be really happy but still hesitant to pick any up. I would prefer to see a huge launch of Liquid Lippies, but to each their own. These have a Wet-Look effect (ew), with finishes ranging from shimmer to prisma-glow. Retail Price: 1,99€.

Water Kiss Glossy Lip Colour: Another lip product with a wet-effect, so probably another one that's not for me. Although shade 03 looks really pretty, I still can't deal with sticky lips. These are water based, so I can only imagine they have no stay power. It also says they only have medium coverage, so these are probably a pass for me. Sorry! Retail Price: 2,29€.

Ultra Last Lip Liner: Water-Proof lipliner is always a must in any makeup bag. This one says it will last up to 6 hours, so if that claim is true, I could think of a lot of LL's that these could be useful with. I hope they can deliver the same creamy-smooth texture that the other Essence lip liners do. Retail Price: 1,79€.

Fade Your Shade Lipstick: A lipstick topper with an ombre or 'bitten-lip' effect, whatever that means. I think the concept is cool, so maybe I'll try out the ombre shade. I don't know what a bitten lip effect is, but it doesn't sound like much fun. Retail price 2,79€.

Totally Me! Mix and Match Lipgloss: Basically just fun colored lipglosses that you can wear alone or mix together to create new shades, which is kind of fun. I don't know what you can mix with the black shade, I feel like that would create a huge mess. And the yellow shade I can't quite figure out either. Interesting, but probably not for me. Retail Price: 1,99€.

Sheer and Shine Prisma Glow Lipstick: I'm not sure what a prisma glow effect is, but I think it sounds really cool. I'm all for a well-formulated glittery lipstick, the only down side is there's only 3 shades. They're gorgeous though! Retail Price: 1,99€.

Metal Shock Lipstick: I love the idea of these! I've never owned a metal-finishes lipstick, and these shades are incredible. They are supposed to have a creamy formula too, so hopefully they'll be comfortable to wear! Can't wait to add these to my collection. Retail Price: 2,99€.

Matt Matt Matt vibrant shock lipstick: As far as I can tell, these are just new shades of the same Matt formula Essence has always had. The shades are definitely edgy, in fact I don't know if I can pull them off..but I'll try! 2,29€.

Make Me Matt top coat: Basically a gel-type thing that you can use to make any lipstick matt. I think this is really cool, as long as it increases the wear time of my lipsticks! Or at least doesn't shorten it...Retail Price: 2,49€.

That about wraps up the lip products for this release. What do you think of these new, edgy shades? Let me know below! Also, stay tuned for my part 3 post coming up in just a few hours!
