Nail Polish RANT!

Hey guys, I'm feeling a little bit ranty today. I've been having a really tough time with my nails lately, and it's starting to get ridiculous. No matter what brand I use, with a top coat without a topcoat with a base coat without a basecoat, several different kinds of base and top coats, glitter, matt, high shine, drugstore, high-end, NOTHING makes a difference. Every time THIS ends up happening:

Every. Single. Time. The stuff comes off in SHEETS! At first I'm usually impressed, thinking "Wow, this nail polish has stayed on for over 5 minutes without chipping!" Then I look back another 5 minutes later, and there it is. The tiny corner on the edge of one nail, slightly lifiting from the base. I want to tear my hair out because I know, that in 10 minutes all of my nails will be peeled and look like crap all over again.

I've toyed with the idea of throwing out all my polishes or giving them to someone who might be able to work with them, but I just CAN'T give up on them. There has to be something I'm doing wrong here. I see people everywhere with constantly fresh, beautiful looking nails they did themselves, yet the only time I can accomplish this it seems, is if I pay my lovely nail lady a visit and pay her 60 bucks once a month.

What could I possibly be doing wrong? Is there something wrong with my nails? It can't be every polishes fault, right? I must be doing something horribly wrong. I never had this problem when I was younger, I could paint my nails and forget about it for 2 weeks. Maybe I didn't care as much back then, but still. I went out and bought some of those nail treatments, a hydrating polish base and a nail strengthener, and even those did nothing. In fact, it made them peel faster than ever.

I've tried ridge filler, because I figured the nail lady uses it before putting on my gels, so maybe that's the issue. NOPE! I even tried one of those ridiculously priced polishes from Sally Hansen (11 Euro for a nail polish, are you high), but to no avail it lasted the same amount of time as the ones I get on sale aat DM for less than 2 bucks.

Can someone out there, please, for the love of everything that is good in the world, tell me how to keep motherf**king nail polish on my damn nails for more than 5 minutes!? PLEASE!
