Out with the old, in with the new: Ex products from Essence

Hey guys! Today I'm going to be sharing with you the products that Essence is removing from the permanent collection starting in February. I believe that means a big sale before the new update launches, so make sure to check your local counters for that! Don't hold it against me if there isn't a sale, I haven't recevied a conformation about it yet! Anyway, let's get in to it; there's a lot to talk about!

First up are some of the basic eyeshadows that have been in the collection for a while. There are quite a few shades leaving us next month, including the following: 01 snowflake (shimmery white), 03 rosie flamingo (frosted shimmery pink), 04 I'm blushing (hot pink with a bit of shimmer), 08 apricotta (mauve with shimmer), 10 dance mauve (it appears to be grey in the photo), 11 tiffunny (medium grey with shimmer), 12 black is the new black (matt black), 14 chilli vanilli (white with yellow shimmer), 15 hazel me not (matt light brown), 17 no cream, no sugar (matt dark brown), 18 all I need (shimmery dark brown), 19 the grammy goes glammy (shimmery champagne), 20 rosy happiness (shimmery light pink) 21 keep calm and berry on (purple with shimmer) 22 deepsea baby (medium blue ((not sure what finisih)) ) 23 newtella (moca brown with shimmer), 24 billie jeans (denium blue, matt), 25 all or nutting (beige with shimmer). I honestly feel the need to go buy all of these just so I have them before they are gone forever!

Next up we have the 2in1 eyeshadow and liner. I don't think I'll miss these, mostly because I can't imagine using them as an eyeliner considering they're chubby sticks. The shades leaving us are 04 black to the routes and 06 I'm blue.

More shadows leaving the collection are the Velvets. I own most of these, they have a great texture and good pigment. Oh, I feel a trip to the Counter coming on...must...resist...

The shades leaving us are 01 fluffy clouds (off-white, matt) 02 almost peachy! (matt light pink), 02 smooth caramel (light brown, matt), 04 you're the greytest (grey, matt), 05 taupe secret (matt taupe), 06 Mr. Mocca-Bean (dark brown, matt) 07 you better mauve (mauve, matt) 08 coral me maybe...(medium pink, matt), 09 bahama-mama (light blue, matt).

And next is something I've never seen before, so I guess that means I won't be missing them. The liquid ink liquid liners in the shades 04 as you want (grey maybe?), 05 edgy plum (purple), 06 light white (white) are gone as of February.

The smokey eye collection is out the door (I never even saw this in stores) the 2in1 liners in the shades 01 smokey black, 02 smokey brown, 03 smokey grey and 04 white are out the door.

from the same collection are the smokey eye pencils, in 01 back to black,02 espress-oh!, 03 grey to meet you, 05 breaking dark and 06 rosy but goldie.

And finally from the smokey eye collection, the eye sets in 04 smokey rose and 04 smokey green will be discontinued. I wonder why I never saw these. I like the look fo the eye sets though, what a shame.

Some bits and pieces from the permanant rotation is the quattro eyeshadow set in the shade 18 fly-hi. I didn't know they even still sold these. I own the purple one, whatever thats called.

The Bronze palette is also saying goodbye, which is fine since Essence has stepped up their palette game quite a bit since releasing these.

I actually own all three of these mascaras, and I don't really like any of them. The top coat does nothing for my lashes, so the fact that they're leaving doesn't bother me a bit.

And yet another product I've never seen, the long lasting eye pencil in the shade 18 berry merry. It's really pretty shade though!

Where the hell do they sell this lash glue?! I've been searching for a lash glue like this for a while now and I NEVER saw one from Essence. Oh well, guess I don't have to be upset about it now since it is no more.

The XXXL Shine lipglosses are also being taken from the normal collection. Not all of the shades are leaving, but most of them are. The shades being discontinues are 01 pure chic (clear), 04 rising star (light pink), 07 big night out (medium pink), 08 glamour to go (taupey pink), 15 true love (dark fushcia), 17 fabulous fuschia (fuschia), 22 nude kiss (nude pink), 26 twinkle twinkle (barbie pink), 29 cute pink (baby pink), 33 again called fabulous fuschia (darker than the first, far more purple than the other), 35 life is sweet (medium pink), 36 popping pink (hot pink) and 37 miss watermelon (purpley pink). I believe most of these have shimmer in them, but I could be wrong. I don't use lipgloss so I can't tell you from personal expereince.

We have these four lipsticks, but I don't have their names or the collection they belong to. I believe the black tubes are the matt lipsticks and the silver are the general lipsticks. The shades are 03 dare to wear (firetruck red), 11 nude love (nude pink) 02 cute nude (mauvey pink) and 05 look at me (brownish pink).

These nasty things are finally being taken away-I've hated them since they were first released. The fluid lipsticks in the shades 01 colour party (cool toned pink) 02 beauty secret (mauve), 03 almost real (nude) and 04 show off (fuschia), 05 peach party (peachy pink), 06 make a statement (purple), 07 nougat kiss (grey-toned purple), 08 hot chili (bright red) and 09 pretty in plum (brownish plum) are gone. I believe that was all of them, hopefully they won't come back until they're reformulated to be an actual fluid lipstick instead of a sticky gloss.

All of the shades of the 2in1 lipstick and lipliner pens are going away, which is kind of sad because I've never seen these before. I have a similar product from either Catrice or P2 (I can't remember and I don't want to get up to look), which I didn't like because they moved around on my lips far too much. Anyways, the shades leaving are 01 invisible kiss (nudey pink), 02 vintage rose (slightly darker version of 01), 03 ruby wow (bright red), 04 pink points (barbie pink), 05 lush berry (dark purple). The matt versions are also being discontinued, in the shades 01 beauty statement (peachy nude), 02 make some noise (dark fuschia), 03 hit the dance floor (barbie pink), 04 showstopper (purple), and 05 more is more (brownish red). This really is a shame because most of the colors look really nice. Maybe if I can find them before February I'll pick some of them up.

Another product I never really like were the Mini Sheer lipsticks, the only reason being I either wear balm or an actual lipstick, no where in between. The shades 01 baby girl (light pink), 02 little miss rosie (rosy mauve), 03 chubby berry (purpley pink) and 04 I am charming (red) are being pulled.

The Beauty Balms are also being discontinued, in the shades 01 keep it real (brownish pink) 02 shh, just kiss me (medium pink with a creepy name), 03 flirtylicious (fushcia), 04 sweet dreams (light pink) 04 heartbreaker (red).

Next up we have some face products, which I'm grateful for because this means they have the room to bring out better products in better shades.

First up are the pure nude foundations in the shades 10 pure beige, 20 pure sand and 30 pure honey. I can't give you my opinion on these because all of the shades were so dark that I couldn't test the formula.

Following those are the pure nude concealers, in the same shades as above.

And the last of the pure nude collection is the pure nude highlighter in the shade 10 be my highlight. It appears to be a dark champagne color.

The sun club bronzer in shade 20. suntanned is leaving, which is far too orange for me to use. Why is everything from this brand so orange?!

The Mousse concealer is being discontinued, although only in one shade-08 Matt Vanilla. Which is terrible, because I use this concealer to clean up my brows. Damn.

The mosaic blush in 30 kissed by the sun is leaving, which is okay with me because no offense to Essence or anyone who used this, but it's kind of ugly...why is there green bits inside a blush compact? Weird.

Yet another product I've never seen-the stay all day translucent fixing powder. I would love to test thing next to the Catrice Networks powder.

And more foundation. the all about matt! oil free foundation is out the door. I also never tested these because the shades are all too orange again. Leaving are 10 matt vanilla, 20 matt beige and 30 matt cameo.

Along with those are the concealers in 10 matt ivory and 20 matt beige. Never saw the concealers, but I'm sure I couldn't use them anyway. Thanks Essence.

Nail products are coming up now, which only means Essence is coming up with a whole new line of nail polishes and top coats. We all know how I feel about nail polish.

First on the list are the Essence Color and Care strengthening nail polish in the shades 01 take a break, 02 I care for you, 03 happy nails, 04 lean on me and 05 you made my day.

These look interesting to me but once again my local store doesn't carry them. These are the turn it...topcoats that boast quite a few different effects. They include: 01 turn it romantic to the moon and back! 02 turn it sunny you are my sunshine, 03 turn it tropical my piece of paradise, 04 turn it aquatic catch the wave and 05 turn it icy crush on you are all being discontinued.

The so French so Perfect nail polish in shade 03 true FRENCHship.

The ice flakes effect 32 fizzy freeze.

The SOS Nail Detox

The Studio Nails ridge filler is leaving, but Essence is releasing a new ridge filler with the upcoming update.

Quite a few of the gel polishes are leaving the collection to make room for quite a few new launches coming up in February. The shades are 03 give me nude, baby! (shimmery white), 11 4 ever young (pinky red), 13 forgive me (medium pink), 17 juicy love (firetruck red), 42 frozen kiss (silvery white), 57 Ice Cream Party (peachy pink), 59 life is pink (dark fuschia), 61 1001 party nights (navy blue), 69 all about us (beige), 70 grey zone (grey), 71 break the rules (black), 84 olive you (olive green).

The Jelly collection, the Metals collection and the White collection are all out the door. The Porcelains are also being discontinued.

The nail art Stampy polishes in black and white are gone.

The vintage style top coat in 30 sweet memories is also being taken.

And the last product being removed from the collection are the French Manicure click and go nails. I doubt anyone even uses clickable nails anymore...do they?
